Composition & Design for Painters
Monday - Friday, November 1st - 5th
There is a world of difference between an image simply copied and one that has been visually clarified and organized.
Making sound, subjective decisions about edit and selection, organizing masses, grouping lights and darks and leading the eye can be learned.
This exercise-based studio class is logical and sequential - beginning with the most salient aspects of design: Balance, Unity, Variety/Interest & Contrast.
We will begin in line, move onto limited value studies and then to color.
You will to learn how to clearly and effectively organize a more powerful, personal visual statement.
By the end of the week your hardcover sketchbook will serve as a handy textbook for your future reference.
For everyone’s peace of mind, Covid protocols are mandatory: Masks, Proof of Vaccination and Negative Covid test within 4 days of workshop required.
